MOI ENOMENGA was born just as his family and the Huaorani were first contacted by American missionaries. Moi was fourteen when he first visited a frontier town and by the time he was eighteen Moi was already a vocal leader working to unite the warring clans of the Huaorani into one Federation. Shortly after, Moi embarked on a tireless campaign both within Ecuador and internationally that helped the Huaorani secure legal title to largest indigenous territory in Ecuador. >>
